Tolmin Venue

Slovenia

Slovenia is located in the eastern part of Europe. It is a mountainous area encompassing the majority of the Julian Alps, which also stretch off into Italy, meeting the Dolomites to the west.

Tolmin
Tolmin is a small town situated in the main valley in the heart of the Julian Alps and has a beautiful river, the River Soca, running though the centre. Transport from Competition HQ to the main launch, Kobala, takes about 25 minutes via a tarmac road.

Kobala Launch
The launch is very large and ideal for competition purposes. It provides perfect access to flying in the main Soca valley flying arena and lends itself to tasks launching into plentiful thermals in the immediate area. The launch area itself is grass with launch slopes to the east and west.

The main Tolmin Landing
The main landing is located just 500m from the town of Tolmin. However for the purposes of the event we shall have our own, dedicated landing area just 100m from the competition HQ.
