Payment Options


Please ensure that your registration has been processed before you arrange payment. Your entry is not confirmed until you have paid.

To be clear, DO NOT PAY unless you have recieved an email telling you that you may pay.

Please also be aware of the payment system this year. You will be asked to pay 120 Eur once your application is accepted. The second half of payment will be taken at the competition venue, in cash, in August. Not before. The initial 120 Eur payment is non refundable, nor transferable.

Competition cost: 240 Euros (120€ now, 120€ in August)

NOTE: Finland pilots will pay an additional 10€, which is for the Finnish comittee. This will be processed at the competition.


PAYPAL

You can arrange payment via our Paypal account, which is secure and accepts international payments.

To pay by PAYPAL, please send €120 Eur to email address "nordic@flywideopen.org".

Sending it 'to a friend' avoids the fees and gives more money for competition prizes. Please include your name in the messages box if using someone elses Paypal.

Paying by Paypal means your entry fee is paid immediately, unlike bank transfers which can take several days. This ensures you do not miss out on your place due to the credit arriving late, after the competitions is full.

To pay by bank transfer please also email us to confirm the details of your transfer so that we can identify your payment. Be aware, bank credits may take a few days to be recieved. If the competition is nearly full, we recomend paying by Paypal.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Pilots should note our cancellation policy, inkeeping with all major competitions;

Any pilots who cancels their registration before the start of the competition will lose their 120 Eur deposit payment. If you have paid 240 Eur then you will recieve a 50% refund. Please be aware, refunds are not immediate. If we are busy in the main flying season then we only do admin 1 day per month.

Your deposit and/or payment is NOT transferable. There is a strict WPRS selection process and you cannot bypass this by passing your payment to another pilot.

All such lost deposits, after deduction of banking fees etc, will be allocated towards a prize fund.

ENTRY FEE ADMINISTRATION

All competition Payments are being handled by Brett Janaway, on behalf of the competition & Nordic committee. They shall be transferred into and kept in a separate holding account for the purposes of administrating the competition.

Registration Open

Registration for the Nordic Paragliding event opens on 22nd January at 11:00 CET

The venue for 2017 is Tolmin, Slovenia (Julian Alps).

This years event is again being organised by Brett Janaway who organised the 2015 & 2016 Nordic Open's.

Nordic Open Basics

The Nordic Paragliding Open has the following aspects:

- FAI Cat 2
- 140 Pilot places
- 240 Euro entry fee*

- Includes Final Party

*50% entry fee payable on registration. 50% payable at the venue in August. Initial payment non refundable.

Registration Format

Registration Opens - Soon

The first 2 weeks of registration are open ONLY to 28 pilots from each Nordic nation, according to WPRS.

Weeks 2 to 6 are then open to general Nordic entries, according to registration time.

After week 6, entry is open to all nations, according to registration time.

Places will be filled according to WPRS on the first allocation, and then by registration time thereafter.

There are a maximum of 140 places.
